NORTH TEXAS SELECT 58-TEAM MISSOURI 53

Opening pool play game at Great American Shootout in Denton, Texas.   A sluggish first half put Team Missouri down by 10 at halftime, but came back to within 3 with :07 left. A bizarre play led to a potential turnover in the last 7 seconds for North Texas with the ball fumbled away after the inbounds pass and appeared to be headed out of bounds, but continued rolling down the sideline, resembling a baseball bunt hugging a baseline, when North Texas picked up the ball and finished with a dunk at the buzzer. Free throw shooting was a decisive factor as North Texas was 17-25 and Team Missouri 10-23 from the line. Team Missouri plays the Houston Lynx at 12:15pm Saturday 7/7.
